Health Matters

Health workshops and One to One support to improve health outcomes for Brent residents.

In 2024, PLIAS Resettlement was awarded funding from Brent Council to deliver a Health Matters project which comprises the following:

  • A series of standalone health workshops that address healthy eating, smoking cessation, sleep management, exercise, building resilience, positive you and other wellbeing services.
  • One to one support to help people register for a GP, Dentist, Drug & Alcohol and other health services.

This project is embedded in our existing projects and programmes that aim to improve the employability of the people we engage. The workshops will take place monthly and will be delivered from our two neutral community sites in Brent, Unimix House and the Bridge Park Complex. Where appropriate we will also deliver in other community spaces across the borough.

As we engage with a niche customer group, these projects will be available to residents in all Brent Connect areas though we expect most of the customers to come from Harlesden, Kilburn and Wembley areas.
